SFK Press seeks Book-Length Submissions! SFK Press is a metro Atlanta, GA-based independent publisher of literary fiction. We are seeking book-length submissions from indigenous, LGBTQIA+, disabled, currently or previously incarcerated, and non-binary people, and people of color.

Our goal is tell tell a million tales of y’all means all (we’re already signing authors for 2021 publication!). The 2019 judge for our annual novel contest was author Devi S. Laskar.

About the Press:

SFK Press cultivates the diverse voices of the South with artistic expression as diverse as Brooklyn’s Williamsburg or Chicago’s Wicker Park.
The path for an artist to reach a wider audience is no longer exclusively controlled by corporate gatekeepers measuring each choice purely by its economic return. This is the founding premise of SFK Press, an independent publisher based in Metro Atlanta.
In the Deep South, where the bespectacled Flannery O’Connor inhabits every literary tick, the contemporary narrative is dynamic. We’re marching far beyond the cynical stories of the 20th century. Authors have dumped the askew pastorals on their asses. We recognize that cultivating new voices requires broadening the definition of Southern writing. The hero isn’t always represented in a conventional fashion.
SFK Press seeks book-length fiction by fearless authors. Our mission is to tell a million tales of y’all mean ALL, with a Southern accent. We especially encourage submissions from indigenous, LGBTQIA+, disabled, current or previously incarcerated, and non-binary people, women, and people of color.
