Serendipity is a literary journal specializing in poetry, prose, and art that engages with issues of race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, and intersecting identities. We seek work that explores, celebrates, and interrogates all aspects of our Black, POC, and LGBTQ identities; as well as work that delights and beguiles our readerly sensibilities.  We are an online quarterly publication, (June, September, December, and March), and an annual print publication featuring fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art. Our goal is to publish exciting work that amplifies marginalized voices, particularly that of same-gender loving women of color.

Submissions for Issue #1 of Serendipity are open until September 30, 2016. The theme of our first issue is drawn from our name: serendipity.  We seek writing on good fortune, chance encounters, extraordinary strokes of good luck, accidental or chance discoveries, windfalls or other interesting opportunities. Or submit what resonates with you.

Please see our submissions guidelines here.
