The LGBTQ Literary Preserve mission is to preserve & promote LGBTQ literature & culture. The Chapbook Competition for an unpublished chapbook of poems or short fiction between 16-36 pages in length. The contest is open to new, emerging, and established writers. The winner will receive book publication, a $500 cash award, and ten copies of the book. Prizes are awarded on publication. The LGBTQ Literary Preserve is seeking poetry or short fiction from any person identifying as LGBTQ. The competition is open to writers from all regions. Publication and distribution of the winning manuscript by Oia Arts Press, an imprint of The LGBTQ Literary Preserve.

Novelist, poet, and scholar, Sheila Ortiz-Taylor is not only a prolific writer and respected teacher of writing and literature, but she has also bracketed her career with groundbreaking achievements.
