Why have some of us forever admired, celebrated, and fetishized big men, while modern fashion and other social forces have long stigmatized, even demonized, fatness? Ever since Girth & Mirth, the USA urban gay and bisexual social clubs founded in the 1970s for large men and their admirers, chub culture has always been part of bear community. But how, and why, do we associate bigness with masculinity and sexuality? Strength, comfort, softness, abundance, identity?
We’re looking for memorable stories of big love, oversized romance, and chub / chaser community, especially tales that express diversity in characters, in any genre from 3,500 to 6,500 words long. Settings may be contemporary, historical, or mythical.
The easiest way to learn about our particular type of short erotic fiction is to familiarize yourself with the BBB’s Hot & Hairy Series: search for “Bear Bones Books” on Amazon and use their free Look Inside the Book function to read a few stories:
Submit your story, along with a 50 word bio sketch and complete contact information, before the ultimate final (as of April 20th) drop-deadline: July 1, 2015
