Gertrude Press, one of the world’s longest running queer journals, is now accepting submissions for their 2017 Poetry Chapbook Contest (February 1-June 1). The winner will receive $200 and 25 copies of their chapbook. This year’s judge is Cave Canem fellow ARISA WHITE, who is the author of Black Pearl, Post Pardon, Hurrah’s Nest, A Penny Saved, and You’re the Most Beautiful Thing That Happened. She has won the 2012 San Francisco Book Festival Award for poetry and was nominated for the NAACP Image Award, a California Book Award, and the Wheatley Book Award. $17 submission fee.
