Submission Process

IMPORTANT: Please read the Awards Guidelines carefully. The person submitting the form is entirely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, so please check your work carefully

  1. FILL OUT THE FORM below for each book you are submitting for consideration.
  2. PAY THE SUBMISSION FEE of $45 per book ($40 per book for publishers submitting 11 or more books) within 30 days of submitting your entry.
    • Pay via our online payment system, or
    • Pay with a check made out to “Lambda Literary Foundation” and include the book’s title in the MEMO field. Send the check to the address below.
  3. SEND 4 PRINT COPIES of each submitted book to Lambda Literary at the address below by December 1st, 2017. We strongly encourage sending your books early.
    • Authors/publishers of books released in December must email the Awards Administrator at awards@lambdaliterary.org to request an extension.
    • Bound galleys or bound manuscripts of books published in late December, may be accepted in lieu of finished copies of the book. For Drama submissions, bound manuscripts of plays that have received a full production run of at least 8 consecutive shows in 2017 may also be accepted.
  4. EMAIL 1 PDF COPY (if available) to admin@lambdaliterary.org by December 1st, 2017.
