First there was Black Friday. Then Cyber Monday. Today is Giving Tuesday–a national day of giving to nonprofit organizations–and the final day of our fall challenge grant campaign. Please use this opportunity to give to Lambda Literary. With only $2,500 more to raise to reach our goal of $17,500, you can put us over the top by making a tax-deductible donation right now.

Until midnight tonight, your donations will be matched dollar for dollar to help us continue to deliver excellent, one-of-a-kind programming including:

  • The Lambda Literary Awards, the most prestigious literary prize in the LGBTQ community.
  • The Lambda Literary Review, now beautifully upgraded, the web’s go-to resource for LGBTQ literature, publishing more queer book reviews and author interviews than any other publication in the world.
  • The Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices, a one-week intensive residency in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, genre fiction and playwriting offering an unparalleled opportunity to learn from the very best authors and publishing industry professionals in the country.
  • LGBTQ Writers in Schools, pairing authors with high school and college literature, history and social studies classes to discuss queer literature with young people.

Six extraordinary supporters of Lambda Literary –Steven Coulter, Charles Forester, Sandra Nathan, Katherine Percy, John Rochester and Curtis Scribner–have pledged $17,500 but only if Lambda Literary members and supporters match their challenge. This opportunity will raise $35,000 for Lambda Literary’s important work. With only $2,500 more to go to meet their challenge, we’re so close!

Please make a donation right now in whatever amount you can afford. Every little bit helps and will go a long way to serve readers, writers, publishers, librarians and others who make up this brilliant constellation we call the LGBTQ literary community.

We are so grateful for your support.
