Alan Hollinghurst’s, The Stranger’s Child, will pub in October (according to Amazon); It’s described as “an epic story following the lives of two families from the eve of WWI to the close of the 20th century,” and will be published in the UK by Picador in July. [BookMarks]

The Temperamentals, are getting a book deal: Well, sort of. Jon Marans’ off-Broadway play about Harry Hay and the founding of the Mattachine society will be published as a playscript by Chelsea Station Editions later this year. [Chelsea Station, via BookMarks]

Another Bookstore Closing: OutLoud, the gay and lesbian bookstore in Nashville is closing at the end of January 2011. Founders Ted Jensen and Kevin Medley have announced they will start liquidating inventory and close their store after 15 years in business. [Queertype]

New ‘Queer India’ anthology is underway: LGBT literature in India is slowly but surely making progress in capturing the lives and stories of its community members: an initiative is currently underway to create a diverse anthology of queer stories within the next few months.
