We are so excited to be hosting the legendary and talented Eileen Myles in conversation with the equally legendary and talented Rebecca Walker at the West Hollywood Library Council Chambers on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. This is a special event not to be missed!

There will be a book signing afterwards hosted by Book Soup.

Co-sponsored by the City of West Hollywood (WeHo Reads and Lesbian Speaker Series), Mazer Lesbian Archives, Lambda Literary Foundation, and Book Soup.

Eileen Myles is a poet, novelist, performer and art journalist who has authored nineteen books including the 2015 releases I Must Be Living Twice – New and Selected Poems and the re-issue of the classic novel Chelsea Girls.  Among many honors, Myles received the 2016 Lambda Literary Pioneer Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship in non-fiction, an Andy Warhol/Creative Capital art writers’ grant, four Lambda Literary awards, and a poetry award from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts.


Rebecca Walker is an author, teacher and speaker with two decades of experience, insight, and innovation to the global conversation about race and gender, art and culture, and politics and power.  Time Magazine names her as one of the most influential leaders of her generation and her highly acclaimed books include the novel Adé and the memoirs Black, White and Jewish and Baby Love: Motherhood After a Lifetime of Ambivalence.
