Litmus Press is Accepting Submissions of Poetry Manuscripts
Author: Edit Team
May 8, 2020
From May 1 through June 1, 2020, Litmus Press is accepting submissions of previously unpublished, single-author poetry manuscripts by writers for whom this would be either a first or second book-length poetry publication.
Litmus Press honors the feminist small press legacy and works to amplify marginalized voices and new literary forms. We invite writing that embraces formal inventiveness and radical linguistic re-imaginings with the aim to unsettle language norms that perpetuate status quo hierarchies of ethnicity, gender and race.
Manuscripts should be a minimum of 60 pages. Texts that engage bilingual or multilingual practice are welcome, while writers whose texts are translations from other languages into English are encouraged to send work to our rolling call for translation proposals. Writers who are not U.S. citizens are welcome to send work.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
