For Fiction, Nonfiction, or Young Adult Fiction: 25 pages maximum
For Playwriting: 10 to 20 page excerpt/2,500 words from a full-length work, short play or piece of theatre
For Poetry: 10 pages maximum
TUITION: Full tuition including room & board is $1,650 Travel expenses are not included.
DEPOSIT: All fellows must supply a $350 deposit by April 17, 2019 to reserve their spot.
CROWDSOURCING FUNDRAISING PAGE: All fellows, whether or not they receive a scholarship, will have access to a personal, Lambda-branded fundraising page. All retreat fees can be collected in this manner except travel and other personal expenses.
Applicant must accepted into the Young Adult cohort to receive the scholarship.
Lambda Literary offers a full scholarship, including tuition, room & board (not travel), to applicants interested in the position of Editor of the Lambda Fellows Anthology. Only one Editor will be chosen. Duties will include creating a publication timeline, collecting the pieces from workshop participants, editing and asking for rewrites, collecting bios, writing an introduction and bibliography, and creating an edited, final, error free copy. Proficiency in InDesign preferred.
Although some of the work can begin during the summer Retreat, the majority of the work will take place after the Retreat is over. The anthology editor will work under the supervision of Managing Editor, William Johnson.
