We’re looking for prose, poetry, and art that features LGBT+ characters, but where the focus of the piece is on something other than the character’s sexuality or gender. Meaning we want entertaining, interesting stories of queer characters doing awesome things, not just dwelling on the fact that they are queer. Our magazine has a strong commitment to positivity and creating a “safe space” for our readers, so no depictions of homophobia, transphobia, bullying, rape, racism, etc. will be allowed, even by the villains of the piece.

We are particularly partial to genre fiction–science fiction, fantasy, mystery, historical, etc.–but are open to any genre. Please read our guidelines for more information.

Deadline to submit to the first issue is December 20th, but we are accepting submissions year-round.

We pay 5 cents a word for prose, $50 a poem for poetry, and $75 for one-off art pieces. We are also looking for illustrators and cover artists.
