Nepantla: A Journal Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color is an intentional community space. Our mission is to nurture, celebrate, and preserve diversity within the queer poetry community. Through this journal, we are attempting to center the lives and experiences of QPOC in contemporary America.

As a journal, Nepantla is interested in various poetic aesthetics, tonalities. Our inaugural issue gained the attention of thousands of readers and various media outlets. This year, want to continue growing! We want to read work that is surprising and unafraid! Our reading period for issue two will be open until August 1, 2015.

There is no reading fee and a $25.00 honorarium will be offered to poets published in Nepantla. Multiple submissions are okay. Send your bio and up to five pages of poetry. Original work only, in a Word Document or PDF.
