Solstice: A Magazine of Diverse Voices is now accepting submissions for its Spring 2016 issue.

As a journal dedicated to establishing a diverse community of writers, we encourage and welcome submissions from writers of color, LGBTQ writers, writers with disabilities, and traditionally marginalized and/or underrepresented writers. We also publish established and emerging writers from all backgrounds and classes.

Solstice is an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit, Best of the Net award-winning journal. With two Notable Essays in The Best American Essays 2015, and an upcoming feature in The Writer magazine, we are committed to promoting the work of our contributors.

We regularly publish fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and through our new multi-genre blog, short essays and interviews, to address relevant issues of cultural/artistic value.

When submitting work, please let us know in your cover letter how you heard about the journal.
