To date there is no comprehensive documentation concerning testimonies of political asylees from the Caribbean and African Diaspora. This call seeks submissions for an LGBT anthology of peoples who received political asylum based on their sexuality.

Spearheading the project is Dadland Maye who received U.S. political asylum in 2009 and is currently a Ph.D. English Literature student at the CUNY Graduate Center, specializing in sexuality within the Caribbean and African Diaspora.
