I’m the co-author with Ila Jane Borders of “Making My Pitch: A Woman’s Baseball Odyssey,” just published by the University of Nebraska Press. Ila’s memoir includes her struggle to come to terms with herself, her family, and the baseball establishment as a gay athlete. We’re excited about collaborating with the Lambda Literary Foundation to share the inspiring story of Ila’s journey. Ila lives in Portland, Oregon, and I live in Laguna Beach, California, but we have trips planned to Arizona, Minnesota, New York City, and other venues this year.
