Notice anything different about our website? Yes, we’re excited about our new logo, but the real news is our new state-of-the-art website design, and if you’re viewing it for the first time, you’ve only just scratched the surface.
LambdaLiterary.org now features responsive design, which means it adapts to whatever device you’re viewing it on—iPad, iPhone, Tablet, Kindle, or computer. This virtually eliminates all the panning, resizing, and scrolling that was required when viewing our former site. This new design even includes a reader view, which allows you to focus on the article you’re currently reading by eliminating everything else on your screen.
The New Lambda Literary website offers responsive design so that you have an optimal viewing experience no matter what device you use. Above, are screenshots of the Homepage, Homepage Navigation, and an article in Reader View.
We’ve completely redesigned our site to adapt to the way our vast and diverse community of readers, writers, publishers, agents, booksellers, editors, educators, distributors, librarians, and bloggers consume content today. Of course, we will continue to offer over 200 book reviews each year, high-profile author interviews, insightful commentary on current happenings in the LGBT literary scene, calls for submission, and pertinent op-ed entries on an endless variety of current issues in our community. We’ll now also be able to offer videos, podcasts, and even more services.
So please take our new website for a test-drive and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
This website redesign would not have been possible without the generous support of so many donors who stepped forward to fund our site. We would also like to thank the David Bohnett Foundation for seeding this redesign effort with a very generous $10,000 grant.
About the Lambda Literary Logo
As part of our new website redesign, Lambda Literary commissioned a new logo that was direct, simple, and clean and encapsulated our mission of nurturing, preserving, and celebrating LGBTQ literature.
