Lambda Literary, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization advancing LGBTQ literature, is pleased to announce that it has received a grant of $10,000 from the David Bohnett Foundation to improve its website,

“With the Bohnett Foundation’s support, Lambda Literary will move forward with plans to upgrade our popular website this year,” said Tony Valenzuela, Executive Director. “The revamped site will include a sleeker design, improved navigation and new features to keep up with web advancements since our original launch in 2010.”

Lambda Literary’s website attracts 50,000 readers each month and publishes more LGBTQ book reviews than any other publication in the world. The website is also a clearinghouse for all things LGBTQ literary and features calls for submission, extensive literary resources and information about Lambda Literary’s programs that serve readers, writers and publishers.

“We are thrilled to support the important work of Lambda Literary,” said Michael Fleming, Executive Director of the David Bohnett Foundation. “They play a unique role in our community and we hope that our grant will spur others to join us in funding this essential organization.”
