This week, a poem by Alain Ginsberg.
Clipping My Nails In Artifact At The Communal Table
I am in public again trying to let things go / always holding onto cups / pickled vegetables / the deviled eggs / something to sit inside of my vinegar mouth / how salty I am lately and how bad that must be / for my health but I am / preserved meat / I am seasoned / well enough or cooked long enough to have the blood dry out / and I am in public again / clipping my nails under a table / and I am embarrassed at how this body / grows / despite how little it is tended to / how little I know / about gardening and how much I have reaped / despite this
