Last week the Independent Publisher Award (IPPY) medalists were announced and Bold Strokes Books received 4 awards. The Independent Publisher Book Awards, launched in 1996, were designed to bring increased recognition to titles published by independent authors and publishers. Established as the first awards program open exclusively to independents, the “IPPYs”  received 3150 titles entered in 61 categories. Books are judged by booksellers, librarians, and other industry professionals. Medalists will be honored at a gala awards ceremony in New York on May 25th during BEA. The LGBT winners after the jump.
