In its new “It Gets Better” video, Hachette Book Group (HBG) sends a powerful message to at-risk LGBT kids. According to recent statistics, LGBT youths are up to five times more likely to commit suicide than their heterosexual peers. HBG explained:

We work in a company whose business is stories, and we chose “Write Your Own Future” as the theme for our video. We believe it makes a statement that is particular to HBG, and strengthens the overall message that it does, in fact, get better. To all of our supporters, our volunteers, and to the brave LGBT staff members who took that theme to heart and shared their stories, we thank you, and we applaud you.
