Marvel’s X-Men Tackle DOMA’s Assault On Binational Gay Couples: Remember when Jean-Paul Beaubier a.k.a. Northstar wed his boyfriend Kyle Jinadu in Astonishing X-Men? Unfortunately for the married couple, villains aren’t all they’ll have to grapple with. Thanks to DOMA, the French-Canadian Beaubier couldn’t be granted American citizenship through marriage, though Jinadu is an American. We’re hoping Astonishing X-Men will follow through with this storyline (one that many binational LGBT couples face today), further shedding light on the negative impact DOMA has on families. Film Documents Rise of Women’s Movement: She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry, a feature-length documentary exploring the beginning of the women’s liberation movement in the 1960s, is set to be the first film of its kind. Featuring  invaluable historical footage and issues like lesbian and reproductive rights, this documentary is in its final stages and needs our support to reach completion.
