Los Angeles County Youth Called to Participate in LGBT Heritage Month Writing Contest

Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa and Christopher Street West/LA Pride are hosting a creative writing/video contest in celebration of LGBT heritage month. The competition is open to all youths in Los Angeles County from grades 6-12. Entries are due in by May 18, 2012. For full details, view the contest flyer here.

LGBT Books Donated to Provincial Libraries: The Prince Edward Island Public Library Service just received a 20-box donation of LGBT-themed books. The books were from the Pat Malone Memorial Library, but because of limited hours and access, the donors decided to send the books out into the public. Over the next few months, the books should be in circulation throughout the province. [CBC]
