Tales of the City, which began in 1978 as a San Francisco Chronicle column by Armistead Maupin, will now be available as an e-release. Maupin’s eight novels will be sold in installments, with the entire set available for purchase by March 13, 2012. Maupin told Pink News:

“Now, thanks to modern technology, they can wolf down all eight novels without stopping for food or conversation. I don’t advise this. I take no responsibility for malnutrition or failed marriages. But at least you can’t lend it to friends and never get it back.”
