About the poets:

Tamiko Beyer, author of We Come Elemental, spent the first ten years of her life in Tokyo, Japan, and has since lived in cities on the water on the West and East coast. She is the author of the chapbook bough breaks (Meritage Press). She received her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis where she was awarded a Chancellor’s Fellowship. Beyer has received grants and fellowships from Kundiman, the Astraea Lesbian Writers Fund, and VONA/Voices. She is the Senior Writer at Corporate Accountability International in Boston.

Angelo Nikolopoulos, author of Obscenely Yours, received a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MA in Creative Writing and Literature from New York University. His poems have appeared in The Best American Poetry 2012, Best New Poets 2011, Boston Review, The Los Angeles Review, The New York Quarterly, Tin House, and elsewhere. He is a winner of the 2011 “Discovery”/Boston Review Poetry Contest and the founder of The White Swallow Reading Series in Manhattan. He currently teaches at Rutgers University, New Brunswick and lives in New York City.

Suzanne Parker, author of Viral, has published poems in Barrow Street, Cimarron Review, Rattapallax, and numerous other journals. She has also published non-fiction in the travel anthology Something to Declare, edited by Gillian Kendall (University of Wisconsin Press, 2009 ). She is a winner of the Alice M. Sellars Award from the Academy of American Poets, was a Poetry Fellow at the Prague Summer Seminars, and has received fellowships and scholarships from Sarah Lawrence College Summer Writers Seminar, and Prairie Schooner. Suzanne directs the creative writing program at Brookdale Community College and is an editor for MEAD: A Magazine of Literature and Libations.
