Author Terry Galloway’s partner, Donna Marie Nudd, stars in this dark, short film parody ”Annie Dearest.” It is obviously a spoof of the classic film “The Miracle Worker,” which stared Patty Duke as deaf/blind Helen Keller and Anne Bancroft as Anne Sullivan, Helen’s mentor and tormentor.
According to Galloway’s website, “Disability World heralded Annie Dearest as one of the 25 most outstanding disability films . . . in the last five years.” Terry Galloway who is deaf and identifies as queer has a memoir coming out in paperback from Beacon in May. The hardcover was published in April 2009. Expect our review of Mean Little Deaf Queer in the coming weeks.

Just a note: the star of this video is Donna Marie Nudd, Terry Galloway’s partner. Also, I think Galloway’s memoir is already out!
@aaron – You are right, we’ll make the updates asap. We’re reviewing the paperback edition of the book, which comes out later this year, but yes, the hardcover came out last April. Thanks for the feedback!
